Pub Landlord Hit With £30,000 Fine

A Shoreditch pub landlord has been hit with a £30,000 fine and escaped an immediate prison sentence after breaching fire safety laws.

The article goes onto say that London Fire Brigade will always prosecute landlords, managers and building owners if it’s found that people’s lives are at risk. Enforcement of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 is leading to heavy fines, and even imprisonment for serious offenders.

Head of account management Tony Middleton said

“This is just another reason to have your company’s risk assessments updated so that your company complies with the fire safety order 2005. The assessments are straight forward to carry out and are non-intrusive to the working day, and should anything be highlighted, the report contains a concise and easy to understand action plan to work through. We here at Office Compliance Management will do all we can to help you with any works that need to be done to keep you on the right side of the law"
